whooaa, what a description!
nice planes!

From djconnel@flash.net:

I like the subject! The scene is interestingly constructed, and the
construction motif emphasizes the engineering component of what is
a structure that most take for granted. The rendering is somewhat
simplistic, however.... still, the combination of the boats,
planes, bridge, and cranes is nicely arranged.

This is an interesting picture for the "style" of the composition. It has a
very simplistic look to it and the colors are rich and add to the style.

Really something! I might even go out and buy this for someone (as a gift).
Art!

Nice concept, and your excellant description of the bridge and its surroundings
was very entertaining. Overall the image has a very childlike feel, like an
illustration from a childrens book, probably due to the simple geometry and
bright colours used for most of the image.

From kaustin@tgn.net:
Good background information and worthy topic. The image comes across as
cartoonish due to the flatness of textures and relative sizes

=====
From chipr@niestu.com:
The water, ships, and trees look a bit cartoony--I think it's the textures.
The bridge and the planes are very nice. Great concept.

Wow, quite a history lesson in the txt file.

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
Impressive structure. Good research and composition.
Good mix of large scale and fine detail.
Great sky but lousy water -- needs reflections.
Trees just look too much like green eggs growing out of the water.
Many of the colors in the scene are unrealistically vivid.

From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
The idea behind this image is excellent but the
components of the scene are too uniform to be 'real' looking.

=====
From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
The image looks very "flat", there seem to be neither lightt sources nor
shadows.
The bridge construction lacks surface structure, it is all smooth, unlike real
steel. The steam of the ships looks quite good and I also like the overall
composition and camera angle, but maybe spend a little more time on textures
and
lighting.

From lpurple@netcom.com:
The textures and colors need a lot of work, but I like it. Very lively and
well-modelled.

From r@dial-up11.webbernet.net>:
The research is, as usual, exemplary. The scene design is very good. The bumpy
water works very well. The only downside is that your textures need more
detail. The overall effect you get as it is makes me think of a model train
layout more than a real scene.

From r@bowerbird.cc.uq.edu.au>:
A bit unrealistic (rather model/toy/Lego-like)
Notable for composition, textures, modelling
