Whether you meant it or not, this image is lifted from a movie called "DragonSlayer", made back in the 80's.  This is a problem with copyrights, since there may be no intentional imitation involved.  In an international competition based in America, the copyright may have to be dealt with. . . though I doubt it in your case.  
The image has nice compositional movement, but what are you planning to do with the bottom left corner?  Also, the thematic interpretation could be developed; fictional creatures are not the extent of fantasy or mysticism.  Realism is not the only form of art.
