DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

This is my secend irtc entrance.
When i read the subject, old technology, I almost immediatly thougt
of a clockwork. Google found me some nice pictures of the internals of
an old 'friesse klok'. The clock had been restaurated. And that is
what I tried to recreate. It was hard to get the distances between
the wheels correct, just from a picture. The number of tooth is also
hard to count, but after some calculating the clock will work and
rotate the hands of minutes and hours correctly. The thing that took
the longest was the rerendering trying to find the correct metal
texture from metals.inc. The blur also took its time.
Everething has been build using standard povray 3.5 on linux :-)
That is why the source could be include.
The use of linux alows me to run povray at 99.5% cpu-usage.
