| Running wine-extras on OpenBSD
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Please note that the Steam launcher requires high openfiles limits, see
login.conf(5). Tested with those set to openfiles=2048.

This package provides Winetricks and a launcher for Steam using the
64-bit Wine port. (Note that applications requiring 32-bit Windows
support will fail). Client binaries and Windows components are
downloaded on demand and remain subject to their respective licenses.

Run this command as your normal desktop user:

    wine-steam

The launcher uses WINEPREFIX, defaulting to $HOME/.wine. To keep
separate prefixes, use the same setting each time you launch the client,
like for example:

    WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.wine-steam" wine-steam

Steam is extracted from Valve's update packages after SHA-256
verification. The launcher configures Liberation font replacements. It
also disables the CEF sandbox;

To install components into a client's prefix, close its Windows
applications and use the same WINEPREFIX with Winetricks, for example:

    WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.wine-steam" winetricks arial

See winetricks(1) for available recipes. The optional Winetricks GUI
requires Zenity or KDialog, installed separately.
