IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
On the hill, in the night, the forces of good and evil come 
together in a clash of energy. Or something.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
Hand-coded CSG in the Mac version of POV-Ray, with hand-coded 
textures and items for the competition.

The moon halo is really just a black sphere with a specular 
highlight placed behind the (shadowless) moon. It only looks 
good from this particular angle :-)

The lightning is a plane with a mostly transparent crackle 
pattern, white at 0.00 fading through blue to transparent, 
and some turbulence.
