IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
Above the hand of a sorcerer is floating the magic sphere, containing the beautiful garden.
The Hand is a blob object, containing spheres for the middlehand an cylinders for the fingers. Negative spheres reduce the radius of cutiing points
The sphere has got a Glass texture, which is included in POV-Ray 3.0 beta and the halo is made by using cubic density loss.
This scene is taken from the description in "Der Zauberhut" by Terry Pratchett. (I donīt know the correct title in english, but i think itīs "The Socererīs Hat")
DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
Iīm using POV-Ray since 3 weeks and i read about the competition. 
I read about this magic in a book of my favourite author ,Terry Pratchett, and i thought: "...this is it". In this scene an old sorcerer created a magic sphere, containing a wonderful garden.
The story is to complex to give a description in some sentences. If somebodyīs interested he shoud read the book, probably most of the people know Terry Pratchett and the kind of humor he uses.:-)
