Title: Rene Struik's Statement of IPR Related to RFC 6189 belonging to Certicom Corp.
Submitter: Rene Struik <rstruik.ext@gmail.com>
Date: 2011-08-03

Dear colleagues:

Hereby, I would like to notify IETF of potential 3rd party IPR that may
be relevant to RFC 6189 - ZRTP - Media Path Key Agreement for Unicast
Secure RTP (April 2011).

This disclosure is based on best effort and does not judge on validity
of patent claims (I am no lawyer, after all).

I do not like to be put in the position to make third party
declarations, but felt the duty to notify to the IETF community, even at
this late stage.

Best regards, Rene

applications required to be disclosed by Section 6 of RFC 3979):

A) This disclosure is related to the following granted patents and

5. Additional notes

Given the timeline of the current draft (it has been an RFC for months
now (since April 2011), after having passed LC stage a year earlier) and
since I have not seen any disclosure of potential IPR posted on the IETF
website to-date, I felt the duty to notify.

This disclosure is based on best effort and does not judge on validity
of patent claims (I am no lawyer, after all).

Best regards, Rene
